Highlight the work of as many French and foreign artists as possible all over the world. For that, we work hard!
THE CREATION OF THE BOOK
We work exclusively with Adobe InDesign software (because it's the best!). We do all the layout of all our books in accordance with the Artist's wishes. YOUR project remains YOUR project!
The cover of a book is essential. It shows the quality of a work and its realization is not within everyone's reach. We therefore work with designers and artists from all over the world to bring the book to life. We listen to the artist and his desires and we propose creative and innovative ideas.
CORRECTIONS AND PROOFREADING
Spelling mistakes are our enemies. And since we don't want to sell you a book that offends your eyes, we work with qualified people who proofread several times to correct all spelling, grammar and style mistakes as well as typographical rules. Whether in English or French!
We work with people outside the project in order to have a correction and an objective opinion on the book. It is difficult to detach yourself from your work when you have your nose buried in it all day. We exchange, critique and discuss in order to obtain a relevant project.
PRINTING
Once the book is calibrated to the millimeter, we start printing. The book is also an object of art. We discuss and choose the best aesthetic, technical and economic solutions for the project. Many formats are possible and we choose it according to the book.
We attach great importance to the quality of the finished book. We adapt the type of paper according to the project (book with photographs, book with drawings, book in B/W, book in four-color...) as well as the finishing of the book (sewn binding, thread-edge, bolduc...). When you open the book, we want to hear you say: WOW!
TRANSLATION
We work in two languages: French and English. Publishing the book in several languages allows us to reach a wider audience. The goal is for magicians from all over the world to have access to our creations and thus discover the artists with whom we collaborate!
BROADCAST
Before publication, we take care of all the administrative paperwork. We obtain an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) and we take care of the legal deposit. The legal deposit at the BnF is organized to allow the collection and conservation of books and any other documents published, imported or distributed in France. The deposit of these documents allows us to create a reference collection that can be consulted in the rooms of the Research Library. It also allows the establishment and distribution of the French National Bibliography. In short, all this to say that it is important so we do it!
GREEN PRINTING
We are part of this generation that has realized that we will probably no longer be able to drink through a straw. And that is very sad! And because we have the same passion for books as we do for nature, we are committed to acting for the respect of the environment and we are implementing economically and ecologically responsible means.
We work with a printing partner who has the same values as us. Their workshops all have certifications including Imprim'Vert, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
These brands, recognized by all players in the graphics industry, express a common desire to reduce the environmental impacts linked to printing activities.
