Welcome to this new episode of the Monkey Journal! And as tradition dictates: Happy New Year 2023 ! 

Here we are again for a new year and we have a lot of things in store for you surprises ! 

Before revealing some of the projects that will see the light of day in 2023, we offer you a little 2022 in retrospect.   

In Unlock  a game is hidden , a riddle that must be solved to try to win unique gifts ! It took us a long time to create this game. 7 riddles about the 7 main arts which introduced you to who Mark Elsdon really is, his inspirations and how he became the mentalist we all know today. Before the publication of this mini-game, we had it tested by some friends . Result without appeal: a great game, fun but quite complicated . So, what was our surprise to see the first customer succeed in the enigma? in just a few hours! Congratulations to him again! We really enjoyed this experience as a game creator and it could well be that a new game will appear with our next book ...To be continued!  

Between March and June, some people believed that The Monkeys had gone out of business . What-not-nor! On the contrary, we actively sought offices to create us a real workspace.And between the search for commercial premises, the work and the development, we still found the time to develop the box The Factory by Jordan Victoria and the book Turnover by Geoffrey Cheminot! Here are some photos of our magical bachelor pad! And if you are passing through the most beautiful region of France (yes, we are a bit chauvinistic, but admit that Auvergne is rather nice!) don't hesitate to come and see us!   

Victor and Florian also go to the congress International Create Illusion organized by Serge Arial, early June. The opportunity to meet Guillaume Botta, Jordan Victoria, the French Twin, Taha Mansour and many others, around a good beer. Between surf session , casino game, conferences and shows, the weekend was very busy. We look forward to seeing you at the second edition of this congress which will take place in a few months!  

The summer was not, either, a restful one. We had the ambition to go out two consecutive projects since September. So to tell you the truth, we haven't been idle! Thomas has been working on the finalization of the layout of the book The Factory and Florian chained the layouts of the review THE JINX in french .Not forgetting Victor who passed endless hours on a still secret project which we hope will see the light of day in 2023!  

In July, another visitor passed through the doors of our bachelor pad (let’s say “the Monkeys’ office”, it will sound more professional!). Tobias Hudson, young English fortune teller and long-time friend of Thomas came take the photos from his first book which will be published very soon (we can already tell you that this book will be a revolution! So, stay connected!). For this photo shoot, a new photographer joined the team to relieve Pauline who was already very busy: Clear ! We will have the opportunity to present it to you very soon! Welcome to the team, Claire!  

September is finally here! All the print files of The Factory went to the printer on time. We can finally breathe! Did you believe it? At the Monkeys, there is no time to snooze under the banana tree! At the end of September, the beginning the longest and most tedious of adventures : THE JINX EXPERIENCE! In collaboration with the French (Brazilian?) mentalist Julien Losa , we took on the challenge of allowing magicians to discover more comfortably the best magic magazine and mind reading of all times Theodore Annemann ! You should know that THE JINX is still 150 numbers, 5 spins on average per number , one “extra summer” and one “extra winter” per year. By releasing an issue every two weeks, and if we calculate correctly, we are on our way to 6 and a half years of JINX! A gigantic project that we intend to complete! October has surely been the busiest month of the year! It all starts with the weekend of Private Magic Days in the company of Woody Aragon, Markobi, Father Alex, Romaric and Jordan Victoria. A real magical weekend during which we didn't sleep much ! Besides, we are already thinking about the next edition! We promise, we will pass the message on to you when everything is ready! Just after the PMD, no time to sleep and here we are already on the film set for the trailer of The Factory by Jordan Victoria! A great day with top actors! Thanks again Jordan, Jean-Christophe and Sam! We'll give you the trailer just below if you've never seen it!   

And since we love spending time with our production team (thanks team, you are the best!) , we did it again the following week with a project still secret . We can't wait to show you the result. So just a little bit more patience.In the meantime, here are some photos from the shoot:   

And to end this month that never seemed to end, we went to Futuroscope for the FFAP 2022 congress . Of course, in the meantime we had received everything we needed for finalize the boxes of The Factory . The mode " assembly line worker ” was activated. Whole evenings to make the boxes in hand, one by one! But the result was up to our expectations! Many of you came to see us at our stand and congratulated us on the work accomplished. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU ! We don't say it enough, but this adventure could not continue without you! So thank you for supporting us in all our projects, too Crazy as they are!   

Early November marks the national release of our box set The Factory ! But it also marks the launch of our new project which will see the light of day in early 2023! And since we were afraid of getting bored, Pauline had the good idea of ​​setting up an advent calendar , 100% free for all our customers, in which they discovered every day, a surprise! So we contacted quite a few our magician friends around the world to set up a great schedule full of gifts ! And since we're super nice, we decided to leave it available for a few more days! Latecomers, it's time to get on the train!  

To finish, a Breton fortune teller , well known to all, visited us at the beginning of December as part of a project which will see the light of day very soon ! Between restaurant, climbing, photo shooting, video recording, we didn't stop! So hoist the mainsail and see you in 2023 to discover the new project of Captain Dumontier!   

So, I think we've covered everything that happened during this year 2022 ! A rich and colorful year which made us sweat!
