#6 - The Monkeys' Journal
Welcome to this new episode of the Journal des Monkeys! The last one of the year 2022 (we know you’re sad!)
Since the last issue of the Journal des Monkeys, the box sets of La Fabrique de Jordan Victoria have finally been shipped!
And we would like to thank you for all the messages we have received! This box set is by far the biggest project we have undertaken. We learned how to design a box set with a top company (sorry, we’re keeping their name to ourselves!), we discovered that the texture of the book cover causes quite a few design problems (Camille Cassaigne still dreams about it at night... But don’t worry, it will soon be more than a distant nightmare) and we discovered the assembly line work to make the toolboxes (assembling the card cases, putting magnets in the bags, cutting the roughing stick, making the spools of thread...).
So, a big thank you for all the messages of support and all the orders we have received! This adventure couldn’t continue without you! THANK YOU!
That’s it, the Christmas rush is over and the magic shows are finished! To conclude this colorful season, the entire 3 Monkeys team went to see Florian on stage. A somewhat special show since he shared the stage with a full orchestra. Not easy to find your place among all those wind instruments! But Florian managed brilliantly: while highlighting the work of the musicians who played classic film scores, he made both young and old dream with his floating table act, the five cards routine, and even with his bowling ball!
Tell us if you have ever performed a show accompanied by an orchestra! We would be happy to hear your impressions on this far from easy exercise!
If you follow us on Instagram, you probably saw some photos in early December of a Breton magician who came to visit us! Yes, it’s no longer a surprise, but Meven Dumontier spent 3 days with us in the freezing Clermont weather (sorry Meven, you didn’t come on the right weekend...). Three intense days during which we took all the photos for his next project as well as the video for a rather special trailer. Congratulations to Pauline for completing nearly 18 hours of shooting in two days! We won’t tell you more for now, but you’re about to discover a new side of our favorite Breton card magician!
We’d be lying if we said we only worked during these 3 days. We also went from restaurant to restaurant! A true culinary marathon: Brazilian meat rodizio (kudos to Meven who devoured nearly 7 meats in one evening!), pig’s trotter, truffade, and even wagyu! Don’t worry, Meven didn’t gain a gram and still looks as handsome as ever! To balance out the calorie intake, we shared Meven’s other passion: climbing! Victor showed us his skills, also a great enthusiast, Florian, on his first try, acted like a real chamois, and Thomas kindly watched the others while lying on the mats (let’s say it’s not really his thing!). In short, quite a weekend that will very soon turn into a new project available on our site! But in the meantime, here are some photos:

We also received quite a few messages about our Advent calendar. We had a blast making it and hunting for gems to offer you. A big THANK YOU to the artists who played along and generously shared one of their creations! We will keep the calendar available online until December 31. On that note, we will send you a little survey in an upcoming newsletter to find out what you thought of this calendar, what you liked best, and whether this initiative should be continued next year! We hope many of you will respond! So thank you in advance for your help!
And there you have it, this new episode of the Monkeys’ Journal is coming to an end. As usual, we will publish our 2023 greeting letter in January. So, we’ll spare you any more thanks in this newsletter that is already way too long!

PS: Meven has safely returned to Brittany, but one of our informants tells us that he misses Auvergne! Legend or reality, you be the judge!
